Pilates for Kids
The Story
Why we created this and why kids need it! This is the story of how it all started, and why this programme means so much to me as a parent.

As a Pilates instructor married to a professional cricket player, movement has always been a huge part of our home life. I started teaching Pilates before I had kids, so they’ve grown up watching me on the mat, in the studio, and filming for the LIVE BRAVE app. It’s also something Jos and I do together, so it’s always been part of family life.
As they’ve grown, the kids have become more curious. Last summer, Gigi began “teaching” her own Pilates classes to us as a family, and Maggie soon followed, copying my moves and turning it into her own little game. At first, it was just fun and I loved seeing them show an interest in my passion. But I soon realised it was much more than that. They were learning about their bodies, becoming more aware of how they move, building confidence, and finding an outlet for their energy and emotions.
This year, I’ve been hosting live morning Pilates classes on the app. With Jos often away for work, the kids are always there with me. Sometimes in the background, sometimes right beside me copying everything I do. Seeing me move alongside my own kids seemed to encourage our members to do the same, and soon we started getting messages saying their children were joining in, copying their moves, and asking to do “Pilates with Mum or Dad.”
That’s when it clicked: moving together wasn’t just good for our family, it could make a real difference for other families too.
Jos and I have always believed in the power of exercising with your kids. We feel so strongly that movement should be a normal, joyful part of home life, and that the earlier kids experience it, the more it becomes second nature. So we decided to create something that would make it easy for other parents to move with their kids. No pressure. No rules. Just fun, feel-good movement for the whole family.
Let's be real: most kids don't need more activities. But they do need more tools, especially ones that help them feel calm, confident, and connected to their bodies. That's what Pilates offers.
Pilates helps kids feel strong from the inside out. Physically and emotionally. And for kids who don’t love team sports or struggle with sensory overload, it’s a gentle, creative way to move. This isn’t about raising athletes, but simply getting all kids to enjoy moving their bodies and to show them how amazing exercise can make them feel.
Whether it’s after breakfast, before bed, between playdates, or on a rainy afternoon, our Pilates for Kids classes are here for you, whenever you and your kids need them!
